Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how the Rain & Snow Radar Map iOS application ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use it. We respect your privacy and collect as little information as possible to provide weather and radar features.

2. Information we collect

We do not require an account and we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or other personal identification data inside the App.

• Location data. If you allow it, the App uses your device's location to center the radar map and show weather for your current area. You can also choose any point on the map manually. Location access is optional and can be changed at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services.
• Map coordinates. When you tap a point on the map, the coordinates of that point are used to request weather information for that location.
• Diagnostic data. Apple may provide us with anonymous crash reports and usage statistics if you have agreed to share analytics with app developers in your device settings.

3. How we use information

• To display the live radar map and precipitation data for the selected area;
• To provide the 60-minute precipitation forecast and local weather;
• To improve the stability and performance of the App.

Location information is processed only to deliver these features. We do not use it to build a profile of you and we do not store your location history on our servers.

4. Third-party weather services

To show radar imagery and forecasts, the App sends approximate coordinates of the selected location to third-party meteorological data providers. These requests contain only the information needed to return weather data and are not linked to your identity. These providers process the data according to their own privacy policies.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not share it with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. Information may be disclosed only if required by law.

6. Purchases

If the App offers in-app purchases or subscriptions, all payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details.

7. Data retention and security

Settings and preferences are stored locally on your device and are deleted when you remove the App. We use reasonable technical measures, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, to protect data in transit.

8. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Your rights

You can deny or revoke location access at any time in your device settings, and you can delete all locally stored data by uninstalling the App. If you have any questions about your data, contact us using the email below.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
